My work mostly consists out of drawings and paintings. For illustrations I work with graphite, paper and sometimes ink. The process of making my drawings is very hypnotic. When I make prints I use bio-degradable materials and inks whenever possible. Painting is more of an active release, a bigger statement, mostly those works are of an obsession or emotion caught in the moment. Most paintings are build up from mixture of paint, graphite and ink.
Inspiration
My very first obsession was for music, high fashion, folk culture, ethnic clothing and couture throughout the years.
At the age of 19 I went to study art & fashion at ARTEZ Arnhem, art Academy, Fashion design, after graduation, I also obtained a masters degree and became a fashion designer. Mid 2008 I changed my direction entirely towards painting and drawing.
